Celini Will Serve Food Created By Masterchef Australia’s Matt Moran

Serafina, the Italian restaurant in Lower Parel, has launched a specials menu for dinner that includes red snapper with chive mash potato; grilled jumbo prawns served with spinach risotto; funghi Arrabiata; pumpkin ravioli in sage sauce; affogato; and hazelnut creme brulee. Veda, the fine dining Indian restaurant in Lower Parel, is hosting a Delhi street food festival until Saturday, August 31. On Friday, August 23, Celini, the Italian restaurant at the Grand Hyatt hotel, will host Australian chef and Masterchef Australia judge Matt Moran over a four-course dinner based on Moran’s recipes. The restaurant will serve the same menu to regular patrons from Saturday, August 24 until Tuesday, August 27. The menu includes tuna sashimi with wasabi avocado and daikon dressing; pumpkin and parmesan soup; roast loin of lamb with eggplant caviar; and chocolate fondant with raspberries. Nom Nom, the chain of South-East Asian restaurants, has introduced a set menu called the Asian Affair, which is priced at Rs900 per person (excluding taxes). For that price, you get a drink, a shot of soup, a selection of four starters, burnt garlic rice or coriander noodles, chicken Thai curry or vegetables in osyter sauce, and unlimited khow suey and dim sum from a station serving the two preparations. • For their next edition of their Voyage Voyage series of dinners on Thursday, August 22, Cafe Zoe will serve food from the southern US state of New Orleans. NEW MENU
The Pier, the European restaurant in Colaba, has a new chef and a new menu. Conrad Cowan, who was previously heading the Vie brand of restaurants, including Vie Lounge and Deck, C’est La Vie, and Yum Cha Vie, has joined the restaurant and introduced a new selection of dishes that include pork ribs with apple cinnamon jus; Emmental and asparagus phyllo rolls; garlic and parmesan soup; goat cheese and mushroom flatbread; lobster linguini in saffron sauce; chocolate fondant; and dulce de leche ice cream. 41/42, Minoo Desai Marg, behind Radio Club, Colaba.
